How it works
Sodium fluoride applied topically after tooth eruption reduces cavities by inhibiting demineralisation and promoting reminerlisation of the tooth surface. It is effective on both enamel and exposed dentine.
The longer the duration of topical fluoride application, the greater the anti-cavities benefit.
